Wedding Make-Up: MAC-ified

Tuesday after work, I went with my friend and bridesmaid, Rachel, to get my make-up done at MAC as a trail run for my bridal look.  May I tell you how amazing it was?  I had so much fun, and I felt gorgeous at the end of it to boot! Plus I had saved up my holiday and birthday money to actually buy a good amount of MAC products, bonus!  I'm so glad Rachel went with me. It was incredibly helpful to have her there and share her honest opinion with me (no, she did not just agree with everything I said like a typical bridesmaid).  Did I mention we also tested cupcake flavors from Galaxy Bakery in Georgetown on the way to the MAC store for my bridal shower this Saturday?  Yum, yum.

The excitement builds

Getting my makeup done at MAC
I will have another trial run of my make-up when I do my bridal portraits, and that will be with my long-time hairstylist, who will be doing my hair and make-up on the day of the wedding.  The final look made me feel absolutely beautiful!
After my makeup was done
When I got home, RopesCourseGuy said I looked like a porcelain doll.  He was shocked that there was make-up on every part of my face. Is it obvious that he likes the more natural, less make-up look? But what I found incredibly interesting is I've always thought when he said he thought I had too much make-up on, he meant my eye make-up was too dark or too much.  Not so! It's the heavy foundation that is "too much" for him.  Good to know ladies!  He did tell my I looked beautiful and gorgeous, don't worry!
The Final Look
Until then, I get to use my new make-up for everyday use, and let me tell you what a difference having quality make-up makes! I did my eyes myself with the new products for the first time this morning (and in case you're wondering, yes I slept in my fabulous trail run make-up Tuesday night, but shh don't tell). I looked in the mirror this morning and was amazed at how much better it looked from the cheap drug-store items I had been using. I'm hooked!
My loot
 Love,

Yay! I'm so glad that you loved it. You looked gorgeous! I'm also so happy that you were able to invest in some quality goods. :)

{I'm trying to ignore how good you say it is...I'm not ready to take the financial blunge into MAC...haha}
